Creating a visual story

Photography is a form of personal expression, but also a universal language.
This workshop proposal aims to better assume this double dimension of the photographic language: personal and universal, by helping the participants to reflect and formulate their photographic intention and to move away from an "instinctive" relationship with beauty and shooting. It is therefore a question of going from the accumulation of stored images to an approach of progressive acquisition of a language which will lead to the conception of a visual narrative or story.

Prague is a perfect location for such a goal : full of life, contrasted, her dramatic history will be a source of inspiration, without limits. With Kafka’s shadow so present.

The working language of the workshop will be English.

If you are here to pay the balance of your registration fee, make sure you enter at least the same Name, Surname and Email used for paying your deposit.

I register to the photographic residency, proposed and tutored by Gerald Assouline.

I will pay the total amount of 750 Euros (early bird, till 1st of September 2024) or later 900 Euros (normal price), before the start of the residency.

This amount corresponds to the registration fee for the week of residency in Berlin.

I pay, upon registration, the amount of 250 Euros deposit, not refundable, here online with secure Stripe payment.

The balance of 500 Euros (early bird) or 650 Euros (normal price) will be paid online (secure Stripe payment) before the start of the workshop.

You will get a receipt (Stripe) and an invoice (site) for each transaction.

All payments will be refunded in case of cancellation of the workshop.

Details of residency expenses

To be taken in charge by the participants:

  • Accommodation in a local hotel
  • Meals, taken individually or collectively (evening)
  • Add travel expenses organised by each one.
